What key messages or takeaways do you want your audience to understand about your development as an educator?
A couple of key takeaways and messages I want my audience to understand about my development as an educator are that I am incredibly passionate about creating a strong connection and relationship with my students and their families throughout my time with them, and moving forward. I am dedicated to being the support system that every one of my students and their families needs for the success of their student and their education. I want to keep track of students' progress and growth, and make sure that my teaching methods, approaches, and strategies are only strengthening and supporting my students' learning. I'm also willing to use different scaffolding techniques and work 1-on-1 with my students to not only enhance their learning but also help me become a better teacher for them. Finally, my greatest goal and accomplishment would be to know that my classroom and the structure it will follow will only welcome and comfort my students. I want my classroom to feel like it's a safe space for my students, and as an educator, I want to enhance my knowledge and understanding of the different backgrounds, cultures, and traditions I will eventually encounter with numerous of my students and their families, and make them all feel welcomed and that they belong in my classroom.
What goals do you have for yourself as an educator as you move into your senior year?
My goals for myself as I maneuver into my senior year are to pass my upcoming Praxis exams, learn how to develop and establish classroom management and a routine, and continue to grow in all of my teaching skills I still need to develop by being strongly involved in my student teaching and getting the most out of my experience.
